This brings the options you can introduce to your character to a whopping twelve subclasses (if you own the previous Lost Valley DLC also), and given that you have four heroes in your party at any one time, you can be sure that it’ll take yonks to try out every ability available for each subclass. The Inner Strength DLC builds upon the intricate party-based strategic gameplay that makes this title so addictive (seriously, this is the video-game answer to Pen & Paper RPGs we’ve been hoping for), with the addition of three new classes (Warlock, Bard and Monk), as well as the Dragonborn ancestry to roll into your heroes. Watch out, though - the monsters are also thinking vertically.Available today on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC, the Inner Strength DLC is a hefty addition to the Solasta base game, which we gave a respectable 4/5 score upon its release in July 2021. Take advantage of the environment to find cover suited to your own size. Escape through narrow passages where bigger enemies won't fit and crawl through tunnels to find secret areas. Position yourself on high grounds to start the fight with an advantage. Push them into chasms or drop things on their heads. Evade or surprise foes from above or below. The dungeons in Solasta are more than flat game-boards. Walls and columns can be pushed over - on top of your foes, if you do it right. Bridges can collapse, leaving enemies stranded and vulnerable. Solasta's dynamic environment offers some interesting tactical options. Successful adventurers will learn to use it to their advantage.įight monsters in squad-level, turn-based, tactical combat. Some enemies have darkvision, some may flee from your torch. The choice is yours.ĭelve into long forgotten dungeons to unearth ancient artifacts, but stay watchful of light and darkness: many dangers hide in the dark, but a light can attract monsters.
